Cloudfactory was launched in 2010 with the objective to provide human-powered data processing for AI and automation. Its objective is to provide one million jobs to people in underdeveloped countries, by connecting them with industries in developed nations and providing opportunities for web-based work. It has a global presence with offices in five countries including Nepal, Kenya, US, Hongkong and UK.

Cloudfactory has grown its revenue sevenfold since receiving investment from Dolma. In 2019, the company raised a series C investment round of USD 60 million, facilitating a partial exit for Dolma.
